African American Family Sitting In Garden

So, today the Mormon.org Facebook page posted a photograph of a lovely African American family sitting in a garden. The caption contained a inspiring quote from President Uchtdorf about the importance of family.  Comments from members swelled, proclaiming the gospel to be true no matter where you live in the world and no matter what your race!

You'd be forgiven for presuming that the family in the photo is Mormon.  Unless you were to use a Google Image Search using the image.  Here are some examples of this photo in other contexts:

Of course, businesses use stock images all the time.  According to this stock image's listing, all the appropriate model releases have been secured.  Anyone can buy this photo and use it for just about any purpose, religious, psychiatric, etc.

Most businesses, however, don't boast of the millions of members who follow them.  Or a media services department with open casting for, among others, "Members from Every Nation, Kindred , Tongue, and People."

Yet for that, out of over fifteen million members, we can't seem to pull out one original photo of a nice black Mormon family.  I've seen them out there.  I know they exist, if rarely.  Who know, though?  Maybe the church is afraid something like this will happen again if they try....
