what? i can't go off on zina huntington and her polyandry? i can't rave over the lds church's political machinations over HLM? nothing even about the piddling powers that be in the utah democratic party?

fine.

you know, there was a time when i wrote poems and short sketches about love and pain, short comments on beauty, strings of ideas and, more than anything, complete and utter nonsense masked as litanies of plain old words. maybe it's time to try to revive that.

this evening i wandered into a room, and took my place with four, no, five men and a woman, around a table with suits and ties and legal pads and black ink pens, and listened to the more important ones talk about their important things as the security guards walked by surprised that anyone was still in the building.

later, i rolled stopping and starting down the hill to photographer's mansion and garden, where the students milled around waiting for their teacher to descend the stairs and whisk them away, up the stairs then back down and outside, i think i was the only one who noticed the crushed lavender in the driveway, maybe because i was the only one who didn't bring a camera.
